On October 14th Caeleste will organize ELECTRONIAD, an incredibly tough screening (quiz), to determine once and for all, which team is the best skilled in electronics.
Do you want to challenge the best experts in the world?
Then do not hesitate to gather 3 other experts to complete your team and register via our website.

The quiz will take place at the Technopolis center in Mechelen. Be sure to invite friends, foes and family to witness the proof of your almighty knowledge.
If you want to support these wizards, you can aid the organizers by donating a prize or subscribing to a support package.

For more information, feel free to contact the organizing committee.

ESA Contract for “European Low Flux CMOS Image Sensor”
Caeleste won, together with LFoundry (Avezzano, I) and Airbus Defense and Space (Toulouse, F) an ESA contract for the development of a CMOS image sensor, aimed for future scientific missions. This will allow ESA to source strategic image sensors from a 100 % European source, which is vital to secure its future scientific and earth observation missions.
Caeleste is responsible for the design, packaging and initial testing of this radiation hard space sensor. LFoundry will realize the image sensor in its foundry in 110 nm / 8“ technology. Airbus Defense and Space will be responsible for the in-depth characterization of the realized image sensors.

Image Sensor Workshop Fraunhofer IMS
Bart Dierickx, our CTO, gave an invited talk during the 8th Image sensor Workshop, organized by the Fraunhofer IMS institute and themed: “CMOS imaging seeing the future”. Bart presented Caeleste’s image sensor space realizations, with focus on the harsh environment and the necessary high reliability. Topics were the degradation of image sensors under the influence of ionizing radiation and the ways to overcome this by careful design methods.

STAFF & JOBS
Since the last newsletter, we welcomed two new employees to reinforce our image sensor design team. We are growing fast!
And we are still actively searching for Senior and Junior image sensor Analog Designers, as well as for a Design Center Manager.
More details can be found on our website and on Linkedin. Do not hesitate to contact us and send us your resume.
Caeleste is also collaborating with the Flemish universities to support and host PhD candidates. Contact us for more information.
